   I would like to request that the Jabber server listen on port 80 or 443. Coding overhead should be minimal based on some of the research I’ve done in the last 2 days. This will allow users that cannot connect to port 5222 to connect over http or https. This is definitely possible especially in a java implementation.

   This will be a benefit to me as well as other users.

   Thanks James. Let’s see what your school comes back with regarding port 5222, at which time we’ll look into this change. We want you to be able to get on!
